About us and our Advocacies

What is Ka Nami Pasador?

Ka Nami Pasador is a social & advocacy enterprise for #walausik and #periodpositivity.

How did you start Ka Nami Pasador?

We started our pasador journey in Los Baños, Laguna on 2015. We then moved to La Carlota, Negros Occidental and started selling online on 2018.

What are your core advocacies?

We are employing and empowering women through the pasador, the Filipino name for reusable menstrual pads. We believe that part of the #periodrevolution involves being kind to yourself and the environment.

What is Wala-usik?

Wala-usik is the Hiligaynon term for zero-waste. We are part of a local network of imaginals envisioning a more sustainable Negros island.

Why did you decide to sell cloth pads?

Two main reasons:

For Women Empowerment

Women learn more about their bodies and monthly cycles through cloth pads. With disposables, you simply participate in the common throw-away culture . With cloth pads, you get a holistic experience as you take the responsibility of washing and caring for all your pads. You know what comes out of you and you have the opportunity to track your blood and cycle.

For the Love of our Mother Earth

If you’re eco-conscious and zero-wasters like us, we’re sure you’re aware of how much trash is generated with disposable napkins in just one cycle.

Enough is enough, we need to cut out as much plastics as we can.

Here at Ka Nami Pasador, we wanted to empower women by giving them a choice and a source for alternatives. We’re here to make your journey to reusable menstrual products easy, enjoyable and life changing. Ask us any of your questions, tell us any of your comments or suggestions and please do share with us your stories!  We want as much women to join us in the #periodpositivity movement and #periodrevolution.
